About Apple

Today, Apple is the world’s largest information technology company in terms of revenue, the world’s largest technology company in terms of total assets, and the world’s third-largest mobile phone manufacturer. Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne founded this company in 1976 originally to develop and sell personal computers. Just months after founding their company, these men put their first personal computer on the market, the Apple I. From the beginning, Apple was an extremely successful corporation, with their revenues doubling almost every four months. As time went on, Apple continued to succeed in the personal computer market, while expanding to the other ends of the market. Although their main focus is generally on the mobile phone market, the personal computer market, and the portable music player market, Apple does have a small section of their company that is dedicated to data storage. Although they sell other brands of hard drives on their website, they also offer their own wireless hard drive that works with their backup system called the AirPort Time Capsule.
