About HP

In 1939, Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard established Hewlett-Packard (HP) in a single-car garage. By 1947 HP was incorporated and just 10 years later, they went public. The company does not have a specific market that it targets, but rather it markets its products to households, small- to medium-sized businesses and enterprises directly and online. HP’s first product that was successful in financial terms was the HP200A, a precision audio oscillator. Although they had several other projects releasing at this time, the HP200A was the most successful. As the years went on, HP continually launched products, expanded the market, and partnered with companies to become a leader in the computer industry. In the data storage aspect of their company, HP offers several different series including the Envy series, Elitebook series, and the Media Vault series.
